Profile
Glenn R. Shields has been serving as the senior Pastor of Progressive Community Church (PCC) in Stockton, California since January 1999. He considers it an honor to pastor God's people in such challenging times. His focus of ministry involves connecting personally with God’s people while teaching them God’s word as they are encouraged to live out their faith daily.

Under Pastor Shields’ leadership, in 2008 PCC completed a new 40,000 square foot facility that includes a 1600 seat sanctuary on 13 ½ acres in South Stockton. His vision for the church to become more than a Sunday place of worship has come to fruition. Local community events, political meetings, Christian concerts, and other inter-denominational activities have been welcomed into PCC. The church staff works diligently to provide a loving and professional environment to foster fellowship, dialogue, and community involvement.

Experience
Pastor Shields has a wealth of ministerial experiences that include the development and implementation of various ministries; he’s a sought-after conference and retreat speaker; counselor for men, women, and families; served as a California State Prison Chaplain; additionally, he has been privileged to share the gospel message through preaching and teaching across the United States and abroad. He currently leads a staff of 25 employees that serve the Progressive Community Church 3000+ membership.

Education
Pastor Shields holds a Masters of Pastoral Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena California, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Trinity Bible College, Sacramento, California.

Family
Pastor Shields has been blessed to “do life” with his life partner and wife, Yvette of forty-years. They are the proud parents of five adult children, eight grandchildren and are enjoying this season of being empty nesters.

Nathan joined the Progressive Church in 1997 and became a member of the Progressive staff in 2003. He currently serves as the Executive Pastor. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from California State University, Hayward. Prior to assuming his current position, Nathan’s ministry experience at Progressive included serving as Youth Pastor and Small Groups Pastor. He and his wife, Denetrice, have been married since 1993 and are the proud parents of five children.

Rene Angeles currently serves as the PCC Spanish Ministry Pastor. Pastor Angeles joined Progressive in January of 2018 with the faith and trust that God would bring great blessings to the Hispanic community in Stockton, CA. Certified with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI); he brings more than 10 years of experience as a pastor. Currently, Pastor Angeles is completing his degree in Theology through the Seminario Bíblico de Capacitación (EBC). Pastor Angeles has a passion for the restoration of people and believes that through helping people they can reach their dreams. He has been married to his wife, Lilian, for over 25 years and together they have 4 beautiful children who are all involved in ministry for the Lord.

Rodney united with Progressive in 1999 and became a member of the Progressive staff in 2000. He currently serves as Director of the New Membership and Discipleship. Rodney received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Biola University and a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics from Talbot School of Theology, Biola University. He has over 30 years of ministry experience in teaching evangelism and apologetics. Rodney and his wife, Khala, have been married since 2001 and have one daughter.

Khala Scott currently serves as the Director of Christian Education at Progressive Community Church in Stockton, California. She has served as an educator in ministry since 1999 and has experience directing, administrating, and developing curriculum for children’s ministry. She has also developed training material for teachers and has taught courses on topics such as the reliability of the Bible, the dangers of New Age philosophy, spiritual gifts, and biblical anthropology.
As an educator at heart, she strives to equip believers to maximize their ability to be effective for God’s kingdom. Khala is a graduate of UC Irvine and earned a Master’s Degree in Christian Education from Talbot School of Theology, Biola University.
Khala has been married to her husband Rodney for over 16 years. They have one daughter named Shuree and reside in Stockton, California.

Pamela Carey currently serves as the Children’s Ministry Director and has over 15 years of experience working with children. She has been a member of Progressive since 1994 and joined the staff in 2004. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from the University of California, Davis and a Master of Arts degree in Education Administration & Leadership from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.

David united with Progressive in 1999 and added to the Progressive staff as Youth Pastor in 2010. He was raised in Stockton and upon graduating from Tokay High School in 2004 he attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago Illinois where he received a B.A. in Biblical Exposition in 2009. He and his wife Ashley were married in April 2011. They are passionate about loving God and other believers and strive to give all they have for the sake of growing God’s kingdom one person at a time.

Mary has been a member of Progressive since 2000. She volunteered at the church for several years prior to joining the staff in 2010 as Financial Secretary. Mary attended Delta College and several Technical Schools. She is the mother of two and a grandmother.

Rocio joined the Progressive staff in 2010 and has been a member since 2004. She currently serves as Administrative Assistant and brings to the position over 10 years of experience in administration support and customer service. She is actively involved in community outreach with homeless organizations; as well as mentoring/coaching youth and young adults. Rocio earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. Aside from work and community involvement, Rocio enjoys spending time with her family. Rocio and her husband, Shawn, married in 2018 and together have 4 children.

Colette Graves, affectionately known by family and friends as “Coco,” joined the Progressive staff in 2010 as the Women’s Ministry Director. She is a graduate of St. Mary’s College, Moraga, California and worked for Kaiser Permanente for 27 years prior to accepting full-time employment at Progressive. A published writer, encouraging speaker, and teacher, Colette has over 30 years of experience in ministry leadership, training, equipping and counseling women. She formerly attended St. Paul Baptist Church in Sacramento, California where she was a member for over 48 years. She has two adult sons, Troy III and Zachary; a daughter -in-love, Nicole; and Grandson Caden.

Ingrid Robinson is the President and CEO of LenShaw Financial Group, Inc., a bookkeeping firm that services Churches of various sizes throughout the Bay Area. Ingrid has over a decade of experience in church ministry finances and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Accounting from Tennessee State University and a Masters of Science Degree in Financial Planning from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. Ingrid sits on the Board of Directors for two Bay area churches and is committed to helping churches operate with financial integrity and works with them attentively to accomplish this.

Terry Hart united with Progressive in 2009 and joined the Progressive Staff in 2010. He currently serves as the Worship and Arts Director. He brings to Progressive over twenty years of experience as a Minister of Music. Terry and his wife, Doreatia, have been married since 2004. They have three daughters and one son.

Ronald joined the progressive staff in 2015 and serves as the Media Director of the church. Ronald has worked in the film industry for over 2 years and spent a year working in graphic design. He has earned his BFA degree in Animation and Visual Effects from the Academy of Art University and strives to use his skills in art and media to glorify God.

Niah has been attending Progressive since 1998. She volunteered in the Children’s and Youth Ministry since 7th grade, and due to her faithfulness, she was added to the church staff in January 2019. She has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Child Development with a Social and Community Setting Concentration.

Anthony Leake currently serves as the Young Adult Pastor and Pastoral support to Children's Ministry. He has been a member of Progressive since 2004 and joined the staff in 2013. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from William Jessup University and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Western Seminary. He and his wife, Tiffany, have been married since 2011 and are the proud parents of four children.
